Craig Pinder  

Craig gained an Honours degree in Forestry from Newton Rigg College and the University of Central Lancashire in the 1990s. He then went to work for the Woodland Trust in the East Midlands with most of his work being in The National Forest, managing and designing new woodlands. He then moved to private sector consultancy both in the Midlands and Southern England before settling back in Dorset in 2006.

With over 20 years in the industry (including practical forestry and arboriculture), Craig has a wide knowledge in areas including woodland management planning, grant applications, management of timber harvesting, tree establishment, woodland maintenance operations, contract management and continuous cover forestry. Craig also became a Professional Member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters in 2006, and has served as the Secretary for the ICF South West Division.

Craig also has an interest in wooden boats, taking sometime out of forestry in 2007 he graduated from the Lyme Regis Boat Building Academy with a Level 3 City & Guilds in Traditional and Modern Boat Building.
